UFT and the Plovdiv hotels union are launching a new internship program

With the signing of the Memorandum between the Plovdiv hotels union and the University of Food Technology, we laid the foundations for cooperation for the benefit of the students, who are the future of our industry and our country! The university can count on having in us the material base of all our members, whose doors are always open to them and their students for practical activities and for everything that is of curiosity and interest related to the working process of the industry. We thank UFT and Prof. Galin Ivanov for the opportunity to be in direct contact with the future of business, for the opportunity to ignite the spark, emotion and desire for our children to develop here in Plovdiv and to be proud of the work and the places, for who answer. Plovdiv hotels union
The rector of the University of Food Technology, Prof. Galin Ivanov, concluded a memorandum of cooperation with the Plovdiv hotels union, represented by Petar Denchev – chairman of the union, who today successfully manages one of the most famous boutique hotels in Bulgaria – “Gallery 37” in Plovdiv and is the project manager of a new, promising project for the city – “Museum 37”.
The signed document marked the beginning of a partnership between the university and 17 iconic hotels in the city under the hills, which will allow for the development of educational and scientific cooperation in the field of hospitality, catering and tourism.

The main goal is to offer opportunities for practical training and career development to students by organizing study and pre-diploma internships in a real environment, pointed out Prof. Kremena Nikovska from the Department of Tourism and Culinary Management.

In addition, the university and the union will organize professional seminars and discuss the updating of curricula and programs. They will also partner in carrying out research and scientific research in the field of hospitality and catering.
